About Us
Hello! A little about me - I've been in practice for about 30 years. I love what I do and I'm excited to go on this journey with you. I truly strive for an open, honest and safe environment. We all get little down at times and sometimes for longer periods than we want. I'm here to help you overcome any obstacles you may be struggling with, past or present. Remember, you do not have to suffer in silence! I hope you reach out and get the emotional support you need. I've spent a huge portion of my career working with victims of sexual assault and domestic/intimate partner violence. Most recently, I worked with the US Navy Department of Defense serving active duty members and their families. I have a lot of experience working with the parent-child dynamic and overall individual needs (i.e. anxiety, depression, trauma, daily stressors, relationship issues, self-confidence/self-esteem, etc.). I also really enjoy working with couples and families as a whole. I'm very much looking forward to meeting you and diving into what you bring to the table.
You'll see in my picture that it's not exactly a "professional" shot. But I think it accurately defines me and what I love. I want people to know that I not only bring in professionalism, but I also have a love of life and all that it brings (my animals!). It may be unconventional, but it's me! I have a lot of experience working with individuals and teens/adolescents. I received my education through Fresno State and trained through a local counseling center. I've learned that I really love working with individuals who are looking to make changes and willing to put in the work. A big part of therapy is 'doing the work' - without that piece, not much will be accomplished. But I'm here to guide you along and encourage you throughout the process. Sometimes we all need a little tough love...and humor! I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
